I made this quilt about 13 years ago. Remember Hancocks Fabrics? When they were going out of business I bought some oriental fabric and used the indigo in this quilt that I designed (Oklahoma Twister) for daughter #2. Never got around to quilting it because I had to put a border on it and just kept putting it off. Not like anyone else has that problem, right? After work on Monday I put the border on and Tuesday I sewed the back together. The weather is so nasty out today, windchill was 2 degrees, that I just stayed in. Loaded and quilted this today.
I also made a small quilt using the Oklahoma Twister pattern. Leave a comment on which size you would like to make and I will pick a winner for the pdf pattern, your choice. Become a follower and I will send you both the full size pattern and the wall hanging pattern.
Stay safe and warm.
What a perfect name for this quilt pattern! I can empathize with your cold temps as we have similar ones up here in Iowa! We'll be going to school all summer if this doesn't let up soon! I'd love to make a smaller version of this pattern...I am a blog follower! 💜

ReplyDeleteWe’re definitely cold and windy here in Utah; they say we’re supposed to get more snow tonight!
I’m really good at making smaller quilts, but I’d love to make a larger one. Especially the dark background with the pops of jewel colors!

Deletelove the Oklahoma Twister. I would love to make full size for a much loved grandaughter in nice bright colors; pink, purple, blue, perhaps green like you did on the wall hanging size but with more neutral background. Stay warm!
