Happy Galentines Day

Lovely fabrics from Island Batiks make great projects. I made a mug rug for each of my co-workers. I sewed strips together and then cut out a heart shape at an angle. Added cotton batting and a back for an easy peasy project.

Below are a few baby charity quilts that I quilted. Someone at church did the piecing and I put them on my machine and quilted them. I have a couple more that I need to do. One I had to redo the borders because they weren't flat and I didn't think I could get it on the frame without puckers. The other I don't know if I will be able to quilt it, it is so wonky that I am afraid that it may need to be taken completely apart and squared up and resewen. Not sure I have time to do it.

ISLAND BATIK AMBASSADOR BOX ARRIVAL

Look what was sitting on my porch yesterday. SO EXCITING. My Island Batik Ambassador box with fabric for six months of quilting projects. There is a cotton batt from Heirloom, Thermo batting, Aurfil cotton thread, City Culture 2 Strips, Galentines Day Fabric, Batik Foundation Bundle, 3yds of neutral fabric, Fat Eight bundle of Northern Woods, a rayon scraf and rayon yardage.

These are such great fabrics to work with and I love the projects I get to dream up to do. Island Batik supplies me with the fabric free of charge and I get the fun of making cute projects for each months challenge.

Happy Valentines Day

No automatic alt text available.

I so love these fabrics. This is my Mini Love project for February. Island Batik makes some of the most beautiful batik fabrics that I have ever had the chance to work with. They send me fabric twice a year and I get the privilege of making projects for their monthly challenges, I get paid in fabric, isn't that awesome.

The squares in my project were 2 inches finishing at 1.5 inches. Very easy to figure out. I use grid paper when I design a project so that I can keep everything in proportion.

For January's Four Season Blog hop challenge I have chosen a winner and she is Tabitha. Thank you to everyone that looked and left a comment. Hope everyone has a Happy Valentines Day.
