BLOG HOP WINNER

I was blown away by all the responses that I got and I apologize that I wasn't able to answer all the post but I did read them. It is crunch time at work and the only excuse I have is that I am exhausted when I get home, so bare minimum is getting done. I haven't even done much any sewing in the last week. Pretty bad, pretty sad.

Looks like the luck of the Irish was with Beaquilter of North Carolina. She wins 2 charm packs of her choice and the book "3 Times the Charm. WhoooHOO!!!

So, Bea send me your address and you will see your prize in your mailbox sometime this week.

PS Sorry about the miss spelling of the title for all of you that caught it, goes to show being in a hurry doesn't pay.

Finished

I just love it when I finish a project. This is a quilt for one of the grand kids that my daughter pieced and I quilted. She designed it herself using Riley Blake fabrics. Didn't she do a great job? I guess you could say she designs as she goes and it everything a little girl could want. Now I will send it back to her and she can bind it. Only fair right, I will do the quilting but draw the line on binding. The quilting goes pretty fast but binding is another story. Not as much fun, or is there anyone out there crazy enough to like doing bindings? Hmmmmmmmmm.

Giveaway

It is hard to believe that February is almost over. Where has it gone. Life is just passing way to fast for my liking. I would like to be able to just sit around and do nothing occasionally. I have been meaning to do a giveaway and just haven't found the time to sit down and do it. To many things going on and I just want to do something simple. Well I have a 4 pattern set that makes up the following quilt called Color Garden and I thought there might be someone out there who would like to win the whole set. Just stop by and leave a comment about anything you would like. Always a second chance for those who want to follow or already follow.

New Project

This is my project for the weekend. I made it for my boss who is retiring at the end of the month, he collects owls and I thought this would be perfect. I love McKenna Ryan patterns. I made one section of her Forest Hollow design called 'Nestled In'. It was surprising easy to do and I love the results. They are beautiful designs. She has a new one 'Bella Garden' that is awesome. If you haven't seen her quilts before' you should go look on her website Pineneedles.com. (Sorry I cant get the link to work) This is my first time doing one of her patterns and I give it a thumbs up.

Happy Valentine's Day-- with PINK HEARTS

There is no better way to say Happy Valentine's Day to Friends and Family than with a little LOVE!! or so I thought. I got really excited about making these hearts trivets... found a fat quarter bundle and began to cut.... 18 hearts am I crazy.... yes I am. I have a really hard time just making one. Well, I got about 10 tops completely pieced and realized I had made a big mistake-- had to unpick all 18 ..... yes I did not say that I take the smart approach and make one to make sure I know what I am doing... full steam ahead.

So I have 7 of the 18 done just in time for tomorrow for friends... the rest are probably going to end up in a quilt, they are pieced just not sandwiched and quilted. These truly were fun.. until unpicking.. that is when I had a great desire to through them in the corner.....

Found some time to make these Yummy Key Lime Sugar Cookies to go with the trivets and put them in some really cute bags with some candy hearts and I am ready for tomorrow.

I could not resist adding the roses to the pictures-- these are a week old and they still look great!! Thanks Valentine!!

Hope you have a great Valentine's Day!! Happy "heart" to everyone!!
