Some New Additions

You can tell where my mind is these days, babies. I have added some new things to the Inchworm store and this is two of them. Aren't they so cute. Just couldn't resist.

Sickness

I stayed home from work on Friday because I picked something up(I think it may be the flu) on our travels last weekend. So I spent most of the weekend in bed; I did go to work today even though I wasn't feeling 100%). But I did manage to quilt this baby quilt that daughter #1 made for a gift. It has minkee on the back and surprising enough it didn't give me any trouble stretching when I quilted it.

They are pretty!!!! I love the batiks because they don't show a right and wrong side! I also love how they work up in a quilt.

Fresh out of the Oven

Well hubby and I got home on Tuesday and at 5am on Wednesday we get a call that daughter #3 was headed to the hospital. At 6am we had a new addition to the family. If they had waited any longer son in law #3 would have been delivering little Ruth himself.


If that isn't enough excitement I go and get the flu, so I stayed home in bed on Friday and I am feeling a little better today. It has been a long week in some ways but short because I haven't gotten anything done.

I think I will draw 2 winners for the batik giveaway. I bought those at the most wonderful little store in Cheney, WA. I like the fabric so much I ordered some batiks for the store but I am not sure when they will come, hopefully soon. I haven't had the best of luck on my orders, seems that there is always something on back order or out of stock.

Snow

I hate snow. I am in Utah and it rained most of the day but now it is snowing. I just want to make it home safely. What was I thinking traveling at this time of year. I have enjoyed myself but that is beside the point. I am coming home with fabric, can't go anywhere without buying some. Some people buy sovienors and some of us have other things that are more important.

March Giveaway

Well I don't know about the rest of you but March has come in like a lion but it feels like spring is just around the corner. I am going to Utah this weekend and I am hoping that the roads are clear. I sure hate driving in the snow. I must be a crazy lady, I can't seem to stay home. If I had my way, I would stay home and never go out till winter was over but life goes on and so drive I must.

Well I thought I would start the March giveaway before I left. I am giving away 5 Batik fat quarters. Aren't they pretty?

Wedding present

This is called Aztec Cowboy designed by Nellie Holmes and Christine Baker and it is a free pattern from Camelot Cottons. I used the Cowboy line out of my store instead of the ones they used.


A very dear friend had a daughter getting married last Saturday and I wanted to make a quilt to send. So I started it presidents day weekend, nothing like waiting till the last minute but I do have excuses.

The daughter that just had the baby was visiting on presidents day and cut out this quilt for me while I was quilting one of her quilts. Then after she went home I pieced it together and had it ready to quilt (It actually was a very easy and fun quilt to do). When she called on Tues to say she was in labor, I loaded it on the frame and quilted it and pinned on the binding after I got home from work. Then when I got home from work on Wednesday I packed up stuff and took it to Spokane with me but didn't get the binding done (we were busy doing baby projects) till last night. So I boxed it up and sent it on its way to Nevada, a week late but never the less I at least it got done (which is more than I can say for some other projects).
