Here are pictures of the quilts that Jen did at my house a couple of weeks ago. She sent them a week ago and told me to wait to post because she wanted to take some better ones. Well she went on vacation without sending new pictures so I am posting them anyway. The first two are the same quilt. It is the same pattern as the one I posted the other day. It uses camping fabric "Are We There Yet?". The other three pictures are two jean quilts she made, one for a friends wedding and the other for her camper and the a view of the fleece she put on the back.

June Giveaway
Time sure flies. It has been a week since my daughter and her kids were here. She tied 2 jean quilts and we made 2 camping quilts with fabric from the line "Are We There Yet" I didn't get pictures so she will have to post them. (hint...hint)
July is just around the corner and I have just received these patriotic fabrics today. So I am going to give away a fat quarter bundle of these 7 fabrics to one lucky winner. All you need to do is post a comment about what your favorite 4th of July memory is. And if you follow you can have a second chance. I will pick a winner Saturday, so you will have time to use your prize.
I will share two memories:
I remember one year on the 4th of July when I was a kid, we were traveling and we must have timed it just right because it seemed like every town we passed through was shooting off their fireworks, it was spectacular.
My dad was in the service and there usually was a pick nick that lasted all day, maybe an air show and to top the evening off fireworks. I think the military puts on the best firework displays.
Happy Memories. I love this country and all that it stands for; Freedom, life, liberty and pursing happiness.

This is the time for graduations. I just finished another quilt for a co-workers daughter that graduated last weekend. My daughter made the top and I quilted it and will finish the binding today.
I also made a little self binding baby blanket for a class I am going to teach in a couple of weeks. This one has ties on it so it can be used for a baby car seat cover. I used some Indian Summer fabric out of my Inchworm Store.
You can find the easy instructions in a pdf here http://www.countrycreations.net/images/selfbindingbabyblanket.pdf
Or you can watch a YouTube video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqwdNqMZ8Ro
Enjoy, it is so quick and easy that you will be amazed. You actually can use this technique on larger items. Works nice with flannels of just about any fabric that you want to use. Your imagination is the limit.

June finishes
It is June already, where has the year gone? I love summer with the warmer weather and the blooming flowers.
I had a burst of energy last weekend and got 3 quilts quilted but I only have pictures of two of them. One is a baby quilt using the panel "Before the Kiss". It was really simple to make. I just added some borders and wallaa instant quilt.
The other quilt was a twin size that my sister Bev made using batiks and I quilted it. It reminds me of the 70's well late 60's early 70's. I found a black with lime green flowers and peace written on it. All I need now is a bead curtain and I will be groving. Well you know what is old is new again.
Daughter #1 is here with 3 kids. We have plans to do some quilting. Think we will get much done? There is always hope that it will happen. Maybe we can send them out to play with grandpa;)
