BATIKS ARE IN. I just put 11 new batiks on the store site at bargain prices. I just love them. I would like to get some lighter ones next. I ordered them by the bundle so I don't even know what they look like till they get here. If you go to the store you can see them individually but the pictures don't do them justice. Pictures from my good camera won't load because the file is to big and I don't know how to change that, so I have to take them with my old camera which takes decent pictures but not great ones. Oh by the way every order in April over $25 gets a free pattern.
Here is my latest project. I made this little pillow from 8 charm squares from the Moda charm pack Grand Finale. We are going to do them at church on Tuesday to teach beginning sewers how to do a four patch.
Last but not least I need to announce the winner of the April giveaway. If you have forgotten, it was 5 fat quarters of Riley Blake fabrics. Not to keep you in suspense any longer, the winner is Nancy Sue number 128, the very last comment on the blog, what luck is that. I did use the random number generator to be fair. You will have to stay tuned to see what the May giveaway will be.
That cushion is delightful and those batiks..yummie. I love batiks. Years ago I refused to work with them, however once I started I was sold. Congrats to the winner.
ReplyDeleteThose Batiks are just awesome.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the winner!!
I love those batiks. Batiks are definitely my weakness. I'll have to take a look at the store. Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog; I was beginning to think that there was an embargo on scrap quilts made out of 9 patch blocks. 8)

do you have an image resizer? you can download free ones off the net, just search for free image resizer software. Then you can use your new cameras photos. I have one that is very easy you just drag and drop photos into it, but was a freebee for just the day I got it. Faststone has one I haven't tried it but I have used their screen capture software and that was easy to use, so I assume their resizer would be too.
