Curvalicious Quilts using Island Batiks

I went to Texas last month

Yes I know I told you last month but guess who lives in Texas? Barb of Bejeweled Quilts and she just so happens to be my sister. We got to spend a little time sewing and it was only a little. Well what to do, what to do with so little time. We thought and we thought and we thought. It had to be something fun, something cute and something we could do together.

This is what we came up with.
Little Miss Muffett sat on her Tuffet eating curds and whey. Along comes a quilter and sat down besider her and stole the Tuffet away.

You can find the pattern on the Crafttsy site. "Mini Tuffet Pinchsion" by Sew Colorful LLC, Sylvi Sealy It was so much fun to work together on these pin cushions. We made six (even with Barbs little grandson running around) which was all the supplies that we had bought at WalMart in the middle of the night. It wasn't exactly what was on the supply list but we made it work. For the larger tuffets we had to enlarge the pattern but it was fairly easy. It was an interesting pattern. It looked like a picket fence but when you sewed the points together it made it so it would fit around our round piece of foam. So simple and so cute. They were a lot of fun to make.

We decided that we would have a give away. Check out Barbs blog here Bejeweledquilts . I have a Red Tide charm pack from Island Batik and a spool of King Tut Variegated Quilting Thread #941. So leave a comment and let me know who your favorite sewing companion is.
