Granddaughter Quilt

Well, I haven't been completely lazy this week. I quilted this quilt that my daughter pieced for daughter who turned 8 last Sunday. She designed this herself. I guess you could call it a design as you go quilt. She keep adding to it till she was satisfied with the way it looks. Don't you think it turned out really cute? I do.

I want to make a cutting mat, ruler and ironing tote that I can take to classes and quilt club meetings. I guess I could just buy one of those commercial ones but what fun is that. I have some cute teal and brown quilted paisley just calling my name. I can't find a pattern I like so I am going to make one up and if it works, I will share.

The sun is shining here and it feels so good. I love spring. I can't wait till my flowers start to bloom. Have a great Saturday.

Yes, please let us know what you come up with. I have an old pattern somewhere I can dig out if you can't find anything or think of anything you like. Let me know and I'll find it and send it to you.
