Finished
I just love it when I finish a project. This is a quilt for one of the grand kids that my daughter pieced and I quilted. She designed it herself using Riley Blake fabrics. Didn't she do a great job? I guess you could say she designs as she goes and it everything a little girl could want. Now I will send it back to her and she can bind it. Only fair right, I will do the quilting but draw the line on binding. The quilting goes pretty fast but binding is another story. Not as much fun, or is there anyone out there crazy enough to like doing bindings? Hmmmmmmmmm.

I know that there are some people who like doing bindings...I am not one of them.
ReplyDeleteIt looks really good - she did good. I have 3 that need binding - will she do mine too
ReplyDeletethis is too cute.... I really don't mind doing the binding, it's the last finishing touch and then it's done!! it's great to see it done, plus I bring mine in the car, when I pick up my kids from school I often sit 10-15 min in the car line and I sit and sew a little, at least one strand of thread, then on sundays on our way to church I bring a quilt too, it's 45 min each way, so I often finish up a quilt that way and often I have a label made too that I attach.... so I don't HATE binding, I don't LOVE it either, but I don't mind it :-)
ReplyDeleteI really like this quilt!
ReplyDeleteYou know how much I love this quilt, it is simply adorable......
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute. She did a good job and you did one on quilting.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great quilt. I dislike binding.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely quilt, I too dislike binding so I do it all on the machine now, sew the binding to the back instead of the front and then use a fancy stitch to lock it all down from the front.
ReplyDeleteHey, this is so cute. I love the colors on this quilt. I guess I'm an exception, binding is almost my favorite part of the quilt. I guess it's because I'm finishing a project but I enjoy hand sewing the binding down to do the finishing touches...I've tried the machine binding and just don't like the way it looks.
ReplyDeleteBinding is one of my favorite parts! That quilt lookds lovely!
ReplyDeleteI know a few people who like to do binding - but I know a few people who like brussel sprouts too. The one thing I like about binding is the sitting still. When I'm so tired I can't stand it, I bind, and I look busy, even if I'm nodding off inside, and people leave me alone 'cause I'm 'busy' ;-)
