This is a little something I started before Christmas and couldn't seem to find the time to get it finished. I wanted to make a quilt for a local boy who just lost his legs and an arm in Afghanistan. So I decided today was the day. Well if I hadn't done 20 of the star points wrong, you might be viewing a completed top. I took them out and redid them, there was no way around it. I wanted it to be perfect.
This is the pile I started with this morning.
If you look close you can see my error. I just hate when I do that.
This is the finished stack of blocks. That I will have to put together another day.
The fabric and the pattern are so very beautiful Jeanette. I could not see any mistakes...it truly is a beautiful job. You will have to post a picture of it when it is done. You are so inspiring.
ReplyDeleteOh now I see the mistake. I had to challenge myself though. I am most thrilled that I finally can post to your blog. Now I can participate! I knew there was a reason I was suppose to stay up late! Sure!
ReplyDeleteI love your bock, looks wonderful and to be honest, I might have to stare at it all day to figure it out....
ReplyDeleteI see the error, but I think I might have left it. However, I understand in this case wanting it to be perfect.
ReplyDeleteThis quilt is going to be beautiful and the recipient so deserving. I haven't found your mistake yet!
ReplyDeletei have looked at it 5 times now and cant see it!
ReplyDeleteoh wait- its not in your final block- its in the middle picture...
ReplyDeletei have done that before!
I like the blocks. Sometimes if we don't point out the error people won't notice. We must be related cause I would't leave it either
ReplyDeleteGonna be a pretty quilt.
