Twice as Nice Baby Quilts
Well I finished the binding on the baby quilt I was making for Jennifer. Just in the nick of time. She had a baby girl right before lunch 8lbs 1oz. They are going to name her Megan. I am on my way there tomorrow. They called me after the baby was born so I didnt want to have to drive late into the night, so I am going to get an early start in the morning. I just love babies and I am excited to spend a week playing with the older two kids and holding the baby. My husband will have to hold the fort down while I am gone. I did get the grass mowed this morning and the laundry done.
The quilt was from a pattern in Quilt Almanac 2010 by Sue Harvey and Sandy Boobar. They did theirs in flannel. I had bought the pink and brown polka dot fabric some time back and didnt know what I was going to do with it and I saw this pattern. It was perfect for the fabric, you would have thought I bought it specifically for the pattern. I love coincidences dont you, especially when they turn out so nice. The back has bears on it and is the cutest fabric. The picture doesnt do it justice.
