Help me! I can not decide what to do.....

It's the hundred dollar question... how to finish a baby quilt. I am working on two baby quilts for friends that are having girls.... the dilemma that I am having is how to finish it, I have been debating whether to put prairie points or rickrac around the edge or just leave it as it is. Below are the pictures of the baby quilts... (they look a lot cuter in real life)....any suggestions??? HELP!!!

(PS these are made from panels)

  1. I'd say leave them the way they are. I like 'em and in one of my most loved colours.

  2. You know, I always just bind a baby quilt, but as I was wrapping up my niece's baby doll in a little bitty quilt that I had made years ago, I realized how beautiful it was with the 1-inch ruffle that was around it. I've never made another quilt before or since with a ruffle, but this one is precious when wrapped around. You might try a small ruffle like that. I'm going to make a doll quilt with one, I think.

Those are scrumptious quilts, by the way !

  3. They look lovely this way, but also I saw a baby quilt with prairie points and it was just breathtaking!

  5. Keeping in mind that they are babies, I would bind it as it is. They are both so beautiful now, there's no need to add something a child may pull off. Lynne

  6. I say leave them. If you can't and my only choice is rickrack or prairie points use the prairie points and make them with the cool quick points ruler. But they really are adorable.

  8. I think that they look amazing just the way that they are right now! Good luck with your decision :)

  9. I love it this way too...the prairie points might be too much, but if you want them, maybe pick a solid colour.
