Can you believe it is March?

This is a door banner kit but I changed mine and turned one row of flowers the opposite direction to make it a table runner. The kit is $30 on Etsy in my InchwormFabrics Store. It comes in a cute keepsake box from Riley Blake. Fast Shipping, same or next day.

Have a great day,

Jeanette

Boy it has been hot this week.

Whats on your agenda when it is hot outside?

I have been trying to get my house and garage painted before we start to get wet weather. Because of the heat I do a little painting in the mornings before it gets hot.

I am suppose to be retired but I do  a few special projects for my company in the afternoons. I also am working on my website to get my material added. I am using a different platform and thought I could just import a file but alas it didn't work so I am having to add everything by hand. I did get one of my grandsons to work on it earlier in the summer. You would think as tech savy as most teenagers are that they would jump at the chance to do website work,  that's until they find out how tedious it can be.

For our 50th anniversary my daughter made the most beautiful double wedding ring quilt using the paper pieced pattern by Judy Neimeyer, Bali Wedding Star. She made it king size, my bed is queen so it is huge. She also did the long arm quilting on it. What an amazing job and I was speechless. She bought enough fabric to make a second one and gave it to me. We will have to see what I come up with.

The Inchworm Fabrics Online Store is Getting a Face Lift.

New store website and selling on Etsy.

I retired earlier this year and decided that I needed to spend more time on the store. I have lots of inventory that needs to be moved. My desire is to still offer quality quilting supplies at affordable prices. I may not buy the newest lines but I try to get good deals that I can pass on to other people.

My website was in dire need of an update. I have changed platforms and I am still in the process of adding all my inventory but the store is functional with precuts and books listed. I hope everyone will take a moment to look. https://inchwormfabrics.myshopify.com/

Handcrafted Seam Rippers, Stilettos, Seam Rollers

Beautiful Handcrafted Items

Inchworm participated in a craft fair this last weekend and we had some left over items.

These seam rippers, seam rollers, and stilettos were custom made by my son-in-law.

These all look black but they aren't, I tried numerous times to get a good photo but it just didn't happen. The two on the left are black, the middle one is a metallic dark blue, the next one is black with brown and the one on the right is burgundy.

There are only two stilettos and they are the ones on the left.

These are all available on the website.

Have a great week. JJ

Flower and vine

This quilt features the flower and vine fabrics we have in the store.
Barbara from Bejeweled quilts made this quilt. It's Beautiful!

These fabrics say spring. The quilt makes me think of a flower garden.

If you are looking for a nice line of floral fabrics these are great.
Hop on over to Inchwormfabrics.com and grab them while they're still in stock.

Sound of music....

Here is my last project for my friend and her grandkids. Her granddaughter is really into music. I bought this pattern from Nerdygirl quilt Co. The black and white make the treble clef pop. The contrast is nice.

I love how it turned out.
It has been fun making these quilts for my friends grandkids.

Spring has sprung

I'm so happy that spring has finally arrived. Spring is my favorite time of year. I love watching the plants, flowers, and everything outside begin to grow, and come back to life.
I've been working on a blue and gold floral quilt for a friend. It's finally ready to be quilted.

The design for this quilt came to be from combining a few elements from several other quilts. I used and hour glass block, along with a love in the mist block (which has many other names). I put them together on point and then added the two outer borders. It will be a nice lap size quilt.
My friend loved it, and I had fun making this one.

Please share with us some of your spring projects whether they be outside in the yard or inside the sewing room.

Happy sewing;)

Tumbling blocks or 🎁

Here is my Christmas quilt that I finished in February.

I wasn't going to post a picture because this was going to be a gift,  but I've decided to go ahead and post it anyway. Christmas is a long way from now. 😉

The pattern was out of an old magazine. I added the trees to the top and bottom to make it feel more festive. It's a nice throw size quilt perfect for snuggling on the couch watching hallmark videos.

Have a great day!

Gnomes in the garden

My latest project started out as a small simple quilt that quickly turned into a much larger and more complicated project.
A friend and I found some really cute gnome fabric while we were quilt shop hopping. We challenged each other to make something that was our own pattern.
Well it took me several weeks and lots of reworking to come up with this quilt top.
It was a lot of fun to make but ended up being more work than I had anticipated.
I think it turned out cute.
It's a great quilt to get you in the mood for spring and gardening.

Hope you all are enjoying your projects and having success quilting.

If you need a new project hop on over to the Inchworm Fabrics store and grab some fabric. We have a lot of quilt pattern books that are full of fun and easy projects.

Happy sewing! 😊

Happy Valentines 💝

I spent Monday evening and Tuesday morning working on this table topper.
Again I didn't have a pattern, just a picture, so it took some work figuring out the measurements but I think it turned out cute.
Hope you enjoyed Valentines day wether you celebrate it or not.

Happy sewing.

First quilt of the year is finished

Here is my first quilt of the year 2023 finished and ready to go to its new home. It's a gift for my nephew from his Abuela and I.
I hope he we likes it.

I found the tiger panel at a local quilt shop. I did not have a pattern but saw a picture of someone else's quilt online that looked like this but with other border fabrics. It was so stunning, so I had to copy it. I'm so thankful for the creative people out there in the world who share there creations with others. So I take no credit for the pattern itself, only the construction of this quilt.
Well I best be getting back to my other projects so they don't end up in the UFO pile.

Happy sewing.

New Year, New space

As usual the New year has begun and with it so much fun. I have a new sewing space, which is very exciting.
I have begun to arrange my space which is challenging yet enjoyable.
So far I have setup a few shelves and two sewing stations.
I am discovering that my stash has grown in the past year substantially. Or maybe it has been growing for many year 🤔 I just get to finally take inventory of everything and have it all in the same space.
Here is a peak of what I've done so far....

My friend Kathy, was over yesterday and she helped me sort through the boxes of fabric. I'm so grateful for wonderful friends.
I look forward to a fun year of creating wonderful things in this new space.

Happy sewing!!

Stitch n the ditch

I'm practicing quilting on my domestic machine. I have a EverSewn sparrow30s. I have been sewing a lot of quilt tops and making other small items with this machine, since I got it. I have just started doing a little quilting. I love the walking foot which makes quilting in the ditch fairly easy. So far I have quilted one baby quilt, three throw size quilts and I'm almost finished with my fourth throw size quilt.
My lovely Aunt Barbara gave me a pair of quilting gloves. They help with this process so much. The gloves definitely relieve the strain on my hands and wrists that I was experiencing.

Here's a picture of my nice gloves, machine and the fourth quilt.
I am definitely loving my machine. It is smooth and has so many cool options. I look forward to learning more of them this year.

Happy sewing!

This quilt is for a young girl, who loves puppies and the color green.
Hope she enjoys it!

Happy quilting ya'll!

Giveaway last weekend!

This is the view from my work office, I am so glad the weather is getting warmer. March has been sporadic, the temps have been up down up down but moving in a warmer direction. It was warm enough yesterday that I spent time triming my rose bushes. I have the thorn pricks to show for it today and my back it pretty angry at me right now.

I am going to add more to the giveaway today and will pick a winner this week. So you have a chance to enter again if you would like. You can like my instagram account for another chance to win.
I have a container with odds and ends in it and I will pick something from it. Maybe scissors or pins, what ever will fit into the package that I send.

Whoops! Giveaway!

I had fully intended to add another item to the giveaway on Saturday or Sunday and both days just slipped away. My daughter invited me to go to the Broadway performance of Wicked in Spokane on Saturday. It was excellent.Well worth the late night drive home.

Her and two granddaughters spent the night and we played with fabric on Sunday. She has 7 graduation quilts for her daughters friends that she wants to make so we cut the fabric for each one and put in a ziplock bag. She is going to use  "the Blakely Quilt Pattern by Meghan Buchanan of Then Came June. The Blakely Quilt Pattern is inspired by simple watercolor strokes. I love how the color becomes lighter with each brush stroke. It is beginner friendly and comes in six sizes!"

Blakely Quilt Pattern by Then Came June 123 6 Size Options ...

Blues, pinks, and purples and greens oh my! Below are pictures of some of the solids that we cut for the quilt kits. The pictures do not do them justice. These solids are from Riley Blake and they are very striking especially with in color families.

I am going to add a fat quarter bundle of the pinks (the dark one is called cranberry and I love love it) to the March giveaway. Be sure to leave a comment to enter to win. So far we have a fat quarter bundle of tone on tone cream fabric, 2 yards of design wall fabric and now a fat quarter bundle of pink solids. Fat quarter bundles will be available soon at the Inchworm Fabrics Store.
