Strawberries and Pigs

I am excited to say, I am still on track with my farm girl quilt blocks. Here are the latest ones that I made this week.

I am pretty excited at how well they turned out. It has been a lot of fun busting out my scrap bucket and digging for colors. I doubt I will make any more strawberry blocks for a while though. Sewing 1.5 inch half square triangles and blocks together is kind of tedious.

My friend liked the pig blocks so much that I helped her make 9 pigs. She has a thing for pigs and wanted one for everyone in her family. I will have to ask her if I can post a picture of them after she makes her wall hanging.

Enjoy your week,

Bev

  3. I'm loving those pigs. Are they paper-pieced? The strawberries are nice too :)

    1. The pigs are regular piecing. They are one of the companion blocks, bonus blocks, that Lori Holt released with her quilt along last year and are separate from the book. You can purchase the pdf pattern for the pigs on her blog http://beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.com or at http://www.fatquartershop.com
